Alaska Fresh Commercial Brand Photoshoot in Milwaukee with Product Photos

We turned Alaska Fresh Seafood images on their website from ‘it works’ to ‘I need this ASAP. Add to cart!’

Because when your food is this food, your visuals need to match.

For our first shoot, we focused on creating clean, white background product photos at my photography studio in downtown Waukesha. These classic e-commerce images are essential for any product-based business. They create a cohesive shop page, establish a professional first impression, and give customers the confidence to click “add to cart.”

Because let’s be honest — if your product shop is giving random iPhone photos from 2019, it’s probably time for an upgrade.

Because a scroll-stopping brand needs more than just white backdrop product photos.

Planning the Lifestyle Commercial Brand Photoshoot

We started planning their next photoshoot designed to show how easy it is to cook, prepare and enjoy Alaska Fresh Seafoods products in real life.

We wanted real people. Real kitchen. Real moments. So that’s exactly what I created for my client.

I brought in Christina from Intentionally Healed, LLC — another one of my incredible clients — and turned the session into a collaborative commercial brand photoshoot. We rented a beautiful home in Milwaukee to create the perfect setting, because part of my role as a commercial brand photographer is handling the heavy lifting: sourcing locations, coordinating models, and producing a shoot that results in eye-catching, strategic content.

When I say this shoot was, chef’s kiss. I meant it!

Why Lifestyle Content Matters for Food Brands

During the shoot, we captured Christina prepping and cooking the salmon, plating meals, and sharing food — all the real-life moments that help customers actually see themselves using the product.

Because that’s what moves the needle for product-based businesses.

Not just product photos, but strategic visual storytelling that shows the experience, the ease, and the outcome.

And yes… we also photographed the salmon burgers.

If you’ve heard me talk about these before, I’m not sorry. They are that good.

Beyond my personal obsession, this is exactly the kind of imagery that helps brands stand out online. When customers can visualize the product in their own life, they’re far more likely to buy.

Strategic Content That Supports Sales

By combining clean e-commerce product photos with lifestyle brand imagery, Alaska Fresh now has a complete visual library they can use across:

  • Their online shop

  • Social media marketing

  • Digital advertising

  • Website content

  • Launch campaigns

Because effective commercial brand photography isn’t just about making products look good — it’s about creating content that supports sales, builds trust, and positions a brand competitively in the market.

We ended the shoot the best way possible: by eating everything. Because waste not… and also, food is always my favorite part.

Because stock photos could NEVER.
